You have always been such a lovely, thoughtful, mature, and confident young lady. Through the years I've always looked forward to (and appreciated) your calls and texts updating me on your life. It is not only your words (which are so well articulated about), but these kind actions that speak volumes about who you are as a person. I am proud to have had you as a student but even more proud to call you a friend. Looking forward to see you again in Kentucky!Meg Finnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10705899044125745396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-720613645179484601.post-79588849346039193822019-02-17T05:19:15.249-08:002019-02-17T05:19:15.249-08:00I never felt more comfortable, safe, cared for, an...I never felt more comfortable, safe, cared for, and challenged than when I had you as a trainer, and especially at that delicate time in personal growth that is high school. For years since I’ve moved east I’ve had trainers ask where I learned to ride, impressed by whoever had made me confident, balanced, and kind in almost any scenario. You have always been an amazing trainer, a true teacher at heart to horses and humans. I know you are strong and will make it past this latest sadness and challenge. Every horse and human who’s been in your care is lucky to have found you. <3Alexahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12420600577268202311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-720613645179484601.post-16720899780075809512019-02-16T21:46:02.077-08:002019-02-16T21:46:02.077-08:00Such beautiful words from a beautiful young lady, ...Such beautiful words from a beautiful young lady, Amanda. My heart aches, as I know yours does too. But we are strong, and we will just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and when we falter, we will be there for each other to lean on. Hugs my friend. You have always been a huge role model for me and my heart aches for you. It is true, equestrians are strong, a lot stronger than other athletes in my opinion because if we get hurt oh well but if our horse gets hurt, a part of our heart hurts too. Because horses are our partners and our best friends. This was so perfectly written and I had tears streaming down my face as I read it. You have managed in a short amount of time to build a tribe that cares for one another, for their horses and for you. We would shoulder your pain right now if we could. We have all been there yet what you are feeling is truly unique to you and this awful time. Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this writing.
